Toby ARPH #13558
Toby is dynamite; an awesome little dog in an old fashioned working dog package. He's 3 yrs old, sweet and friendly. He was found abandoned by a good Samaritan, who took him in over the winter. Since then, he got into a bit of trouble doing what Aussies love to do; chasing things. Nothing a fenced yard won't take care of.
Toby loves people, his nubbie wags furiously when he gets attention and he comes barreling to you when you kneel down. Toby will be available for adoption soon; he is being fostered in western MD. If you are interested and an approved adopter, contact Amy.
Mack ARPH #13709
Mack is 9 years old and a real gentleman! Very sweet and easygoing. Walks nicely on a leash. LOVES to play fetch! More to come after we get to know him better! He'll be available for adoption through ARPH in a couple of weeks.
Mack lost his home because he was unwilling to tolerate young children falling on him and chasing him around. Rather than train the children, Mack had to go. To add insult to injury, when we picked up Mack, we found there was already a new lab puppy in place. Mack had no vet records, no shot history, no indication he'd been on heartworm preventative. His coat was dirty and matted and he had an infected wound on his leg. We feel Mack deserves better than that and his new foster mom is in love with him.
Stay tuned for more info. Mack is being fostered in WV, contactTami if you are an approved adopter and interested.
Who can resist this little girl? Holly is a 3.5 month old puppy. Snow was her mother. Holly is playful, silly, and loves her toys and other dogs. If you are interested in Holly, she is being fostered in the Morgantown WV area. Contact Tami if you are an approved adopter and interested in Holly.
Meet Dozer ARPH #13835! He is a sweet 3 year old netuered red tri Aussie looking for his forever home! Dozer is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He now weighs about 40 pounds but should be about 50. His prior owner loved him but did not have enough time to give him what he needs. He spent too many hours crated in the house and not enough time exploring the world. He is housebroken, crate trained and good with people.
Dozer's foster home has a 13 year old son with whom he's been great, so only children ages 12 and up, please, as he's not been tested with younger ones. Dozer definitely prefers to be in an only dog home. He was never around dogs and doesn't quite know what to do with them. His foster family has been working with a trainer to teach him how to walk better on leash and how to interact with other dogs. He has really come a long way already and loves going for walks now.
He could keep up with any activities his future home enjoys as he is an energetic Aussie that always wants to know what is going on. If someone was interested in training him for agility, he has the skills! He loves toys, particularly rope ones and will run to chase them but hasn't mastered fetch yet. He settles nicely in the car.
Dozer needs an experienced owner who understands his need for continued training and regular, consistent exercise. A traditionally fenced yard will be required. Any family interested would be able to do follow up training for free with his current trainer, located in Oxford, PA.
Dozer is being fostered in Bryn Mawr, PA. If you might be able to give this active, sweet boy his forever home, please contact Kay.

We rely on the generosity of our supporters to help
the hundreds of Australian Shepherds needing our assistance.
In 1992, three individuals doing private rescue were brought together by a common vision.
They hoped to gain the support of the (ASCA), which would enable them to create a network of volunteers who would be able to save their beloved Aussies on a much larger scale.
For those of you who shop on line, you are able to help raise money for ARPH through your purchases if you go through iGive.
