Finnegan ~ ARPH# 12196

Meet Finnegan, a beautiful 11 month old, red-bi, male Aussie with amber eyes. Finn thinks the best thing in the world is to be with his humans.  He just thrives on the attention you give him and rewards you with a ton of love, as he is the sweetest Aussie boy you would ever want to know.

Finn is a puppy who came to us as a stray.  Sadly, he was not cared for very well in his past life.  His ARPH foster Dad and Mom have taken very good care of him.  They take him on vacations, work with him on puppy manners and have treated him to doggie day care.  Finn is now a very healthy and happy boy thanks to their loving attention and kindness.

Finn would be a great fit for a family with kids as he is so very good with them.  Finn is an active, fairly high energy boy so a family with kids about 5 years old and up would be a great fit. Finn loves to ride in the car, go swimming, travel with his family, and play ball. Finn would do well in a home with another dog as he loves to play and wrestle with his dog buddies in his foster home.  Finn also seems to be indifferent to cats.  Finn is a happy boy.

Finn is neutered, up to date on all his shots and is being fostered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  If you are interested in adopting Finn and are an approved adopter, please contact Jeff Burrer at driftlessaussies@gmail.com.  Or, if not yet approved, please fill out our adoption application

Tye ~ ARPH# 11855

This is Tye, isn't he just so very handsome! Tye is an 11 month old, black tri, male Aussie. Tye is a great dog, but if you are a man reading this, or a woman living with a man, you can skip Tye's bio and move on to the next dog... You see, Tye was badly abused at an early age in life by a man, and try as we might, we just can not get him used to living with a man. He is well behaved and polite around men when out and about, although he will duck and try to avoid petting. But he just can not get over his fear enough to even consider being placed with a home with an adult male in it, it just causes too much stress for poor Tye. Trust us, we have tried...

But for a female only family, you could not ask for a more devoted, loving dog than Tye. He may take a little time to warm up, so he will need a new mom(s) who can take that leap of faith and know that once he warms up, he will be yours for life. His new mom(s) will also need to realize that when you have male visitors, Tye will most likely be happiest hanging out in a crate, or another room, where he can feel safe.

Tye is a playful guy with a good amount of energy. He's not over the top, but he's no couch potato either! He'll be happiest in an active family, where he gets to be a part of the daily adventures. He is great with other dogs and loves to play and wrestle with them. He would be thrilled to be in a home where he had a doggie buddy to bond and play with.

Here is a video of Tye when he first came into the rescue program this past fall. Molly, the other dog in the video, has already been adopted.

As you can see, Tye loves to play in the pool and is just a happy boy who really enjoys life. He has filled in a bit since the video, and has a gorgeous, full, thick coat. Tye is also great with children, although older, teenage boys may worry him. He is excellent around cats, rabbits and chickens, too.

Tye is housebroken, crate trained, up to date on vaccines and neutered, he is ready and just waiting to find his perfect forever home. Could that be you? Tye is being fostered near Madison, WI. You must be willing to come to Tye's foster home to meet him. We will not ship dogs anywhere.

If you are interested in adopting Tye, please submit an ARPH application. If you are an approved adopter, please contact Sheri at aussiemom@centurytel.net.
